Direct Putaway
Direct putaway refers to the streamlined process where materials are transferred directly from the receiving dock to their final storage location, bypassing any intermediate storage steps.
How system determine the putaway bin
When an inbound delivery is distributed in EWM, the system determines the source storage type and bin based on the warehouse process type (WPT), or from staging area / door determination.
It then selects the putaway bin according to the putaway strategy and store it in the warehouse task.
System determines the putaway bin as below

1. Determine the Storage Type
First, system determines the storage type search sequence, which contains the list of storage types in the sequence. The system then uses these storage types in sequence to determine the storage section (Optional) and storage bin within storage section if applicable or within storage type.
An access sequence decide which group of fields should be used to determine for storage type search sequence. you can define multiple access sequence with group of fields.

2. Determine Storage Section
After determination of storage type then system determining the storage section, which is optional. It is necessary to activate the storage section determination and perform a check.
- No Storage section determination and Check
- Storage section determination and no check
- Storage section determination and check
If the storage section check is activated, the system will not permit the putaway of a product into any section other than the one specified in the product master.
3. Storage bin type determination
After determination of storage type and storage section then system determine the storage bin type which is also optional.
Below methods are utilized to identify the most suitable storage bin for a handling unit (HU). You need to specify the method the system should use to determine the bin type.

4. Storage bin determination
Once the storage type, section, and bin type are determined, the system identifies the appropriate putaway storage bin for a product using the Putaway rule and a capacity check (if enabled in the storage type).
