Physical Inventory Control Parameters
Below are some important control parameters the physical inventory procedure
Physical-Inventory-Area-Specific
Tolerance check
Enable to check tolerance during Low Stock Check
Posting after count
This determines if the system should automatically post the count results as soon as they are entered.
If the shortfall is below the posting and recounting tolerance in the complete Physical Inventory (PI) document item when the count result is entered into the system, then the complete PI document is posted immediately.
The system does not take into account the "Allowed percentage difference in counting" (Refer warehouse specific control parameters under physical Inventory specific settings)
Display quantity
Activate the 'Display Book Quantity at Time of Count Entry' feature only after confirming with your auditor that this setting is permissible in your system.
Propose quantity
Activate the 'Proposed Inventory Quantity at Time of Count Entry' feature only after confirming with your auditor that this setting is permissible in your system.
PS: Proposed Inventory Quantity does not display on the PI print document.
Display Object
The system suggests all objects for counting such storage bin and Handling units and sub handling units.
Activate the 'Display Object' feature only after confirming with your auditor that this setting is permissible in your system.
HU Complete Allowed
Selecting this indicator allows a handling unit to be marked as "complete" upon count entry.
A disadvantage of this method is that it allows the system to adopt the contents of a handling unit without any verification.
HU Count
HU count - Enable the collective counting of Handling Units.
HU Item count - Enable counting the total number of items within Handling Units collectively.
Blank - Need to scan the HUs one by one
Serial Number in Phys. Inventory for Count (Suggest)
If a product requires a serial number, the system will suggest serial numbers upon the entry of count results.
Warehouse-Number-Specific Settings
Owner - Propose owner in the Physical Inventory
Party Entitled to Dispose - Propose PED in the Physical Inventory
Correction Permitted - Correction Function Permitted in Difference Analyzer
No Tolerance - No Tolerance Check in Counting
Cycle Counting Completeness at Warehouse Number Level
You can use this checkbox to control if the system checks and sets the completeness of a product at warehouse level
Different User to Recount Physical Inventory Documents
The system mandates a recount of physical inventory by a different user.
